Thirty out of 77 examinees passed the Sharia bar examination
conducted by the Supreme Court in July, 2001, with Samsodin M. Bedar as
first placer with 88.72 percent.

Hashim said the successful examinees made their compatriots proud and
gave life to the practice of Sharia law in the country.
